2025 CSA SHARES

CSA shares for the 2025 season are now available!

What's a CSA?

A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model is an agreement between farmers and eaters. A CSA member gets a "share" of high quality, delicious food from their local farm. The farmers get revenue at a time of year when it's most helpful and an ability to plan our production more accurately.  CSA is shared risk, shared reward. If crops do well, members enjoy that bounty and take home more produce. If crops do poorly, members take home less volume or variety. As CSA farmers, we plan carefully to make sure our members are well fed and get an excellent value. We want to feed you!

Our favorite part of the CSA model is the people. We want you to know and trust the farmers growing your food, and we want to know the folks eating our food! Over the seasons we hope we'll learn what you and your family love to cook and snack on, and which crops we may as well skip. We hope you'll tell us if a lettuce variety wilts too quickly or if your kids love bringing snap peas to school for a snack. Together we'll swap recipes and enjoy the adventures of eating with Vermont's seasons.

Weekly Veggie Shares

Overview

Members pick up their share at the farm once per week. Produce is at peak freshness and a mix of what is ready in the field that week. We grow a wide variety of crops, from your classic garden staples like tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers, to some more novel options like lunchbox peppers and fun heirloom winter squashes. We love to cook and eat and we have kids so we make sure to grow a mix of crops that people like! The volume and variety you take home depends on what share you choose, the season, and your preferences.

Each week you select an assortment of veggies that we harvest specifically for CSA members. We'll have things laid out as a "buffet" of produce types for you to choose from. Walk through and take what looks good! For example, we might offer 2 lbs of roots and you pick out any combination of carrots, beets, potato, and celeriac. If you don't like an item, you don't need to take it.

Sometimes due to constraints with volume or timing, different crops will be available for sale at the farm stand but not in the CSA (or the other way around). Weekly Veggie Share members receive a 5% discount on produce at the farm stand and are welcome to purchase additional products during pick up or any time the farm stand is open. Share prices reflect about 15% discount from farm stand prices.

Dates and Details

The 2025 Weekly Veggie Share will run from June 18 - October 22nd.

Pick up will be on Wednesdays from 3:00PM to 6:30PM. If you can't make a pick up, no problem. Swing by the farm stand and we'll have a rundown of that week's share posted for you. We'll trust you to pick out your veggies from the offerings in the farm stand.

If you're out of town for a bit, feel free to have a friend pick up in your place!

Bring your own bags! We'll have bags available if you forget, but we'd love for members to bring bags and containers to help us reduce the amount of waste we generate.

Here's what a week in August might look like:

Weekly Fruit Add-On

Got a sweet tooth? How about a weekly supply of the freshest fruit around! This add-on gets you 20 units of fruit (e.g. a pint of berries, a melon, bunch of rhubarb) over the course of the 19 week season. The goal is to have something available each week, but given the vagaries of weather and pests there may be an occasional week without fruit, in which case multiple units will be available on a future pickup. Many of our perennial plantings are still young so 2025 will be heavy on annuals (e.g. ground cherries and melons) and quick growing berries (e.g. strawberries and raspberries) with a few surprises. $100 for the season.

Farm Stand Share

Members establish a debit account with a discount on produce in our farm stand. You shop the farm stand whenever it's open (10AM - 6PM, Wednesday - Saturday) and record the value of the produce you've selected in a binder at the check out counter. We take pride in keeping the farm stand fresh and well stocked with whatever the season has to offer! The Farm Stand Share only applies to produce grown on our farm, not to brought in products like kimchi or maple syrup.
